Phillip Schofield’s Secret – Eamonn Holmes Breaks Silence With Bombshell Tweet

Eamonn Holmes has commented on Phillip Schofield’s confession of engaging in an affair with a younger male employee at ITV, stating that his one-time co-host has “finally been caught out”.

Holmes, the 63-year-old television personality, expressed his sentiments on Twitter after Schofield, 61, owned up to the affair and left ITV permanently, having been revealed to have concealed the truth.

Schofield issued a comprehensive statement, apologizing to all involved, including his family, for the affair and the subsequent deception when faced with media inquiries on the subject.

He stated: “I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning. Despite rumors, I initially met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to assist him in entering the television industry. It was only after he began working on the show that our relationship evolved beyond friendship. That relationship was ill-advised, but not unlawful. It is now over.”

Following the revelation, his talent agency, YMU, severed ties with the star, after discovering “important new information about our client Phillip Schofield”.

In the wake of the shocking announcement, many celebrities and former ITV colleagues of Schofield have voiced their reactions online. Among them, Eamonn Holmes, who once hosted the Friday edition of This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford, posted a tweet.

He stated: “Schofield has finally been caught out … But he’s not the only guilty party. Four high-ranking members of ITV management were aware of his character …and never once acted to prevent him from exercising control or exploiting his position over young individuals.”

This is not the first instance of Holmes criticizing Schofield, as the former host of This Morning has been open with his disapproval of Schofield’s decision to step down from This Morning last week.

But Holmes is not alone in responding to Schofield’s affair admission.

Piers Morgan tweeted a surprised “Blimey…” with a shocked emoji as he retweeted news on the topic.

At the same time, Vanessa Feltz was live on GB News with guest Nigel Pauley as the news surfaced.

Nigel speculated that the statement could mean that there might be more “revelations and some more negativity coming out.

“If an agent dismisses someone and mentions honesty and integrity, that’s not a positive sign,” he observed.

Throughout the conversation, Vanessa remained calm, nodding in agreement as her guest dissected the statement.
