Dave Myers Expresses ‘Tears of Joy’ Amidst Cancer Battle: Find Out Why!

Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers has openly shared the emotional highs and lows he’s experienced amidst his cancer journey. The revelation came just before the launch of the new book by Myers and his co-star, Si King, titled ‘The Hairy Bikers’ Ultimate Comfort Food’, scheduled for release next Thursday, November 2.

At 66, Dave Myers, who is courageously fighting cancer, expressed that his tears have now transformed from those of “anguish” to “tears of joy”. This heartfelt confession emerged during his discussion about the upcoming book.

During a conversation with the MailOnline, Myers mentioned the challenges he faced post-treatment, including re-learning how to ride a bike. The duo, Dave and Si, also shed light on their upcoming show, ‘The Hairy Bikers Go West’.

While discussing their book and show, Myers stated, “There’s been a lot of emotion while we were filming and writing this book because we both realised how that feeling of comfort, of having a hug, is really important. The book was a great therapy for me, for both of us really, as two mates.”

Furthermore, Dave extended heartfelt gratitude towards Si for the unwavering support he’s provided. Myers also praised his wife, Lilianna, referring to her as his steadfast rock during these testing times. Reflecting on his journey since his diagnosis in March 2022, he remarked, “It’s not necessarily the end of the world. At the minute, life is pretty damn sweet. Now the tears are tears of joy rather than anguish.”

Additionally, earlier today, the star duo made an appearance on ‘This Morning’ to showcase their ‘Smoky Chilli Beef ‘Crumble’. Viewers were thrilled to see them on screen, with many expressing their happiness and well wishes for Dave on Twitter. Comments ranged from appreciating Dave’s resilience to fans expressing their admiration for the Hairy Bikers duo.
