Some lucky people will get their hands on a new note with the coveted ‘AA’ serial number which could be worth an awful lot more than £10. The rarity of the serial number on certain notes had some people smiling all the way to the bank when the £5 plastic notes were released last year. The production of the new note has sparked controversy after it was revealed that a small amount of animal fat was used to produce the polymer pellets in the production process.
